Will Apple repair this for me iPhone 3G

Hi,
Quick question for you guys. I just bought a iphone 3g about 4 months ago i believe. Everything was working smooth. I bought one of those speaker docks so i can listen to my songs on the iphone. And when day when i was done listening, i went to take out the iphone and it was stuck. I dont know how it was jammed in there. And finally after much force it came out. And now the sync connector or the charging port is damaged. Obviously i cant charge it now. I dont have apple care but i am eligible for the limited warranty. Will they fix this problem for me?
