At some point (I believe after installing an update) my iPhone is no longer able to find any wireless networks. It will just continue to spin on the choose a network screen and never finds any. Trust me when I say the wireless access point is working and isnt the problem. I used to be able to connect to it and havent changed anything. Plus there are other iPhone and iTouch users in my house that use it without a problem as well.
Here are the things Ive tried:
1. Switch to airplane mode then switch back
2. Reset Network Settings in the generalreset menu
3. Upgrade to the latest and greatest iphone OS
4. Finally, I did a reset to factory defaults losing all of my apps and settings. THIS WORKED until I did a restore of my backup to get my apps and data back.
Is there any way to get this working again without losing everything and starting over?

If there is a problem in regards to these settings with your iPhones backup and apparently there is, restoring from the backup will also restore the problem.
If the problem is resolved when restoring as a new iPhone or not from your iPhones backup, BINGO!
All iTunes content on your iPhone - all music, movies, tv shows, print books, audio books, and 3rd party apps should be in your iTunes library on your computer. No iTunes content on your iPhone should be lost when restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhones backup or as a new iPhone or not from your iPhones backup. 3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app will be lost when restoring with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhones backup, but not the apps. If the apps were restored when restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhones backup then the apps are in your iTunes library and will not be lost when restoring as a new iPhone or not from your iPhones backup. Select Sync Apps under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes selecting the apps below that you want installed on your iPhone followed by a sync.

Same here. Just got a new iphone 4. No WiFi-Networks anywhere, despite there are plenty. Even my 2nd Generation iPod touch can see all the networks in the neighborhood. I did not restore my iPod-Profile.

If no change after resetting network settings on your iPhone and/or after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhones backup, your iPhone has a hardware problem with the wireless card or with something else. The iPhone includes a one year warranty.

I have the same problem. None of the apple suggestions work. Upgraded to 4.3.1, no help. Worked with Apple support...no help. They told me to return it to an apple store. Good luck. Apple doesnt have a solution yet. I have had no wifi for two weeks.
No Apple store close to me and I need my phone. please help us Apple.

This is a user to user help forum only.
Copied from my previous post.
If no change after resetting network settings on your iPhone and/or after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhones backup, your iPhone has a hardware problem with the wireless card or with something else. The iPhone includes a one year warranty.
Apples solution if no change after what was copied from my previous post is an exchange under warranty since your iPhone has a hardware problem. With a hardware problem the only solution is an exchange under warranty. If there is no Apple store nearby, you can call AppleCare. If you have purchased the AppleCare extended warranty, the exchange will be shipped to your door the next business day after calling. If you havent purchased the AppleCare extended warranty, if you pay $29 the exchange will be shipped to your door the next business day after calling. You must give AppleCare a credit card in case you dont return your existing iPhone within 10 days after the exchange under warranty is received. You use the same box to return your existing iPhone with the return shipping label located below the shipping label to you. AppleCare includes tape to reseal the box and a small paperclip to remove the SIM card from your existing iPhone. The phone number for the shipping carrier is included in the box. When the box is ready to be picked up to return your existing iPhone to Apple, you call the carrier.
