White Eye in pictures taken with iPhone 4s flash

I just got the phone today and have the same problem. Even with videos. Whenever the LED is on, it turns pupils white. Cant use the pics and videos. I ended up turning off the flash and took with less than optimal lighting.

havent noticed that. could you give an example.
sounds like a catch flash which is something studio photographers and the like try to produce as it draws the viewer to the eyes.
if you could crop a pair of eyes out and post them somewhere.

Ive noticed that also. Youd need a good graphics application like Photoshop to deal with it effectively
I can only help one person each day...and today is not your day ...tomorrow doesnt look good either!

Yeah I get this problem too. Photo shop etc us only way of getting rid..

Yes, this is a serious problem. I suspect the pupils reflect white light because the flash is LED, rather than the typical incandescent flashes (which reflect red off the pupils). A lot of programs have built-in redeye removal tools, but white-eye removal? Havent heard of it.
Maybe the photoshop iphone app will add it?
Or perhaps Apple can add it to a future release of the Camera or Photos apps that are built in to the phone.
