When i type on onscreen keyboard over time it becomes slightly off iPhone 4

Hello forum
looking for some help! I have been an iPhone user since the beginning and only until my recent model (iPhone 4) have I encountered a peculiar problem. I will be texting/typing an email, etc... and all of the sudden its as if i am not hitting exactly on top of the imposed letter on the screen, and i am hitting the letter next to it, I cannot solve this problem UNLESS i exit out of the email or the text message, enter back in, and resume from where I left off. It is quite annoying, any idea on what it might be or how to solve it ?

to be honest these are the solutions that may or may not work..
first thing I would try is rebooting the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 15 seconds until you see the white apple logo
if that doesnt work I would restore from backup and if that doesnt work I would restore as new if all else fails take it to your closest apple store they may replace the phone for a working one..
