Water damaged iPhone-Ultrasonic cleaning 3G

Hi, I have managed to kill my 16GB iPhone G3, it might be smart but unfortunately it cant swim. I have emailed a few repair companies. ipaqrepair.co.uk has offered me free diagnostic and said they can repair some water damaged units using an ultra sonic bath.
Does anyone know if ultrasonic cleaning could possibly repair my phone? Anyone have any experience of using this company.
Any advise on this matter would be much appreciated, I love my iPhone and am totally gutted, I kept it in a bag of rice for about 4 days to dry it out, it wont respond at all, when I plug it into my computer it detects it but gives an error message.
