Voice not working on calls iPhone

When making calls I am able to choose from option menus and have perfect reception. However, when I speak the person on the other line can not hear me. I have tried using the speaker mode, plugging in a headset with a microphone, rebooting the phone and cycling the mute button.
The voice memo ability works fine. Suggesting there is no issue with the microphone.
Has anyone else had this issue? Do you know on any resolution for it?

I am having this same problem. I went to the AT&T store and they said to update my software and restore it, which I did. However, my phone calls are still not working.

Im having the exact same issue on a brand new iPhone. Its pretty annoying. Anybody knows any solutions?
