Video GB space used on iPhone4 doesnt match MB of Video file

So this may be a dumb question, but Im manually syncing my videos on my iPhone 4. I have one file that Ive added to the phone. In iTunes, that file is listed as taking up 377 MB of space. But when I click on the sync video, it uses up 3.5 GB of space on my phone. Is there a reason that this single file takes up so much more space on the phone than in iTunes? Is there invisible video that is also being added that I dont know about thats taking up so much space? Or is this all normal and the discrepancy is nothing to be concerned about.
Any help will be most appreciated!

What would be better would be to explain what you figured out on your own and post it in this thread. That way, someone else who experiences the same thing, may be able to search and find it, and save themselves from posting the same issue again.
