Unable to turn on iPhone

I have a 3GS; after using a wall outlet last night to charge my iPhone through the apple AC-to-USB adapter, I woke up to find my iPhone was unresponsive. I assumed this was an outlet issue, until I tried plugging said iPhone into my computer to find the same result. At work (I work in an electronics store), I tried charging my iPhone on several ipod docks it has worked on before. There is no liquid, physical or known software damage done to the iPhone, and the SIM card appears fine. Ive tried doing hard resets, nothing seems to be working to even turn my iPhone on, let alone get it to be responsive with my computer or other hardware.
Suggestions?

try pressing and holding the power button and the menu button at the same time until it boots

I have the same problem with my iPhone4, it wont turn on...I am planning to bring this on the Apple center tomorrow. But I decided to go to the forum first and I red this discussion...I tried what you said and IT WORKS!!! My iPhone4 turned on! Thanks!!!

Sounds like your phone is broken or has a bent pin in the dock connector.
