unable to set up e-mail on new iphone

I see alot of you having the same issue with e-mail.
My phone is new and just got around to setting up my e-mail and keep getting the wrong password or user name error, I have deleated the account and reentered all of the info but no help. I have a pop e-mail and putting in the same settings from my computer but no help.
