Screen cut off iPhone 4

Hi, since upgrading to 4.1 having loads of problems which I was just about to deal with but Ive just noticed something else now, the top line of info is half cut off and if I then touch on i.e. the phone button at the bottom and then the home button to come back out to the main screen the the labels along the bottom buttons are now cut off, it would appear the resolution of my screen has changed. Have no idea how! Can anyone help?

If anyone else has this its a feature of the phone (thank goodness) found out had to tap with 3 fingers to zoom back out.
