The iOS webpage at apple.com lists this new feature for iOS 4.2:
Find text on web pages. In Safari, you can do a quick text search to find and highlight specific words and phrases on even the longest web pages.
How do I use this?

Thanks for the tips Dave, but it appears this feature does not applied to iPhone 3G...unfortunately.

Wouldnt be easier to say to type the word you are looking for in the google box and scroll to the bottom of the suggestions and click find on this page rather than sending someone to go look for 35mb pdf?
