RemovingTransferring HD video shot on iPhone 4

I shot a rather long video with my iPhone 4 (30 minutes), and now I cant get it off of the phone. Im using Windows XP, and I can usually open the iPhone from the My Computer window, and copy anything I need out of it (Picasa and the Windows camera wizard also work). This video is the exception. If you try to copy it out, or use the Windows camera wizard, the transfer fails. I even tried to back up the phone and see if I could remove it from the backup files and just stick .mov on the end (easy to find due to its size), but it will not play in Quicktime or VLC).
Are there any third party programs that could help? Any tips or tricks?
