Push access for received messages is supported with the following email accounts.
An Exchange account accessed via ActiveSync.
A Yahoo account created with the Yahoo account preset.
A MobileMe account.
A Gmail account can be accessed as a POP, IMAP, or Exchange account with the iPhones Mail app. Visit Google/Gmails website for creating and accessing the account as an Exchange account with the iPhones Mail app, or do a Google search for this. Accessing the account as an Exchange account also provides the ability to sync your Google online contacts and calendar events over the air with the account on your iPhone.
