Password pop up for voice mail iPhone 3G

We are a 4-3GS phone family with no problems until the last upgrade. Now all four phones have the same problem with the voice mail password screen popping up randomly and none of us use passwords for voice mail. This only happens when we open the phone favorites screen,while texting and turning the phone on. Its driving us crazy....any ideas on how to fix this would be a great help.

Are you in the US? If so, dial 1 on your keypad & follow the prompts to reset your voicemail password or dial 611 from your phone & have an AT&T rep reset it for you. Once done, the popups will go away.
