Maps SLOWWWWWW and freezes iPhone 4

Anybody else try to type in a search and it takes 5-10 seconds to register each letter? How about freezing spells? Crashing? This is what I have to deal with on a daily basis with the built in Maps application. Im very ****** because I feel like it got this bad since the 4.2. Update!
