sorry this was the closest part of the forum to my question
when i want to use MAPS app in iphone 3gs ios 4.3.1 of mine the app shows my location with a blue circle but shows no map in the background just gray squares i have this problem with other map apps too like places in photoes or aroundme app
but funny that google earth works and shows the satelite maps
AND when i try to search a place no results come and a message comes saying something like no results found-no internet connection
but i do have an internet connection as i said google maps app works and i open webpages in safari
macbook pro 15" early 2008 Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Check: Settings>Location Services>On>Maps>On.

its already on!
btw the message i was talking about is maps cannot connect to the internet

Reset your phone:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release(ignore the slide to power off).

i did as you said and the phone reseted but again nothing has changed
btw i have recently (3-4 days) upgraded to 4.3.1 from 4.0.2 an i had this problem before the upgrade too

That indicates corruption. Try restoring your phone from your most recent backup, followed by syncing your iTunes content back to your phone. If no change, restore as a new device, again followed by syncing your content back to your phone.
