Keyboard issues iPhone 3G

Hi everybody!
I have an iPhone 3GS (OS 4.2.1.) and I have some troubles with my messages keyboard.
Sometimes when I write a message the keyboard DO NOT react! I mean: Nothing happens.It seems like my keyboard react too slowly or that I write too fast.
Is that normal?
Someone has ever see this problem?
