iPhone expired warranty-out of warranty service repair question

Hi
My iPhone is about 3 weeks out of warranty and has developed a fault with the wifi connection and the silent switch. Id been thinking that Id use the Apple out of warranty service to get it replaced. But now Im unsure whether that service is available to users with an expired warranty or if its strictly for those who have an iPhone that does have a warranty but its ineligible for repair.
Could someone clear this up for me please.

Out of warranty means that the warranty is no longer in effect. The simplest solution is to make an appointment at the Genius Bar - http://apple.com/retail/geniusbar and see what they can do for you.
