iPhone 4 HD video recordings play upside when imported to my computer

When I import my hd video recordings to my computer, they play upside down.

Granted, the link above gave a couple solutions, which are to play the movies in quicktime and itunes, but I love using VLC. It even does this when using Windows Media Player. Also it was suggested to email the video to yourself, but that compresses the video, causing the quality to go down.
On top of all this, it even shows up upside down when I open it with Pinnacle to edit it. Sure, theres a video effect to rotate it, but once again, Pinnacle will compress the video when exported.
Is this being looked into? And is there a solution that doesnt require compressing it with a codec or playing it in quicktime/itunes? Like I said, I love using VLC.

lol, I dont blame you for not being able to resist.
Then again, even if someone did rotate the phone, it would automatically reorient itself because of the accelerometer/gyroscope.

are you not just recording the video upside-down? there is only one way to record a video. dont hold the phone portrait, it should be landscape (although video editors can correct this but it will not be utilizing the screen rez. I seriously believe your just holding the iphone upside down when recording though.

If you are holding the phone like you normally would to use it, in the upright position, you must quarter rotate it to the LEFT to landscape to use it else vids will be upside down. There are editors that you can use to rotate the video and then save WITHOUT compression.
