iPhone 4 camera flash not flashing

So my wife and I both got new a iPhone 4 today and I noticed a problem on mine where the flash does not, well, flash. If I turn the mode to On and press the shutter button it does light up but right when the camera snaps the picture instead of getting brighter (i.e. flashing) it just goes dark and the picture turns out very dark. Seems to work fine on my wifes (i.e. it flashes and the picture is nice and bright, albeit blue :)).
Anyone else seeing this? If so are there any tricks to fixing it? Im guessing Ill have to take it in and perhaps get a replacement (hopefully by Christmas).

Mine seems to be working ok. It should come on for a second go out then come on brighter when its taking the picture. If not I would first try to restore the phone and if still a problem there may be a hardware problem and would need to be replaced.

Just to make sure it does stay lit, switch to video recording mode and set the flash to On. It should stay on the whole time. I think it will also replace my flashlight app since its pretty bright.

It seems to work fine during video mode. I think the ultra bright part that goes off right when the camera takes a picture is the portion that is not working. I have not yet tried the obligatory restore since I have a lot of stuff and that takes ~1-2 hours to do.

I have the same problem with the flash not firing. In camera mode with the flash on it doesnt fire. With the flash in auto, it doesnt fire. With the camera in video mode and the flash on it doesnt turn on. No light from the LED with any setting, no focus assist light, no still flash, no recording light. Im going to attempt to reset the phone tonight but Im not holding my breath. I figure Ill have to wait till they are restocked and exchange it.

Same problem here! flash lits up when it measures but when it snaps the picture it doesnt therefore getting a pretty picture full of BLACKNESS!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE SOMEBODY COME UP WITH A SOLUTION!!!!
