Iphone 3g Stuck on FIRMWARE Install during RESTORE

Listening to music on an Ipod dock and when i took my phone off it went off, i couldnt turn it on or do anything with it. Plugged it into Itunes and it said it was in recovery mode, I recover it, and it installs everything but gets stuck on the Firmware install, I have done this about 20 times and it always gets stuch at the same spot, and ive left it run for over 24 hrs.... Any help??

...and its never been jailbroken, ive also tried 3 different computers, updating itunes, and Nothing

Check the apple support articles for info on putting it in DFU mode and/or bring it to the apple store and see if they can get it to recover. I ended up having a 3GS replaced under warrantee with similar issues.

ive looked at the DFU mode, and it wont go into it, ive taken it to apple and they said they cant fix it i need to buy another phone, yea only if you BUY MINE BACK!!! lol just seeing if anyone had a fix
