iPhone 3G stays connected to wifi in sleep

Hi,
My iPhone 3G stays connected to wifi during sleep/standby, which leads to a massive battery drain.
I have a 50% battery drain overnight!
I have push email disabled, 3G disabled and mobile data disabled, but that doesnt help.
Also restoring the firmware doesnt help.
How can I solve this problem?

Have you reset or restored the phone? Start with a hard reset - hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons down at the same time until you see the Apple logo. That will restart everything and should make this go away. However, if it continues, do a restore through iTunes.
