iPhone no longer automatically syncing photos

I have an iPhone 3GS. Until a month ago I exclusively synced photos onto my MacBook. When the Sync process began, both iTunes and iPhone automatically started up. The iPhoto version on the MacBook is 09v8.1.2.
I recently purchased an iMac, and it has iLife 11 on it with iPhoto 11V9.1.1. It doesnt automatically start the sync process when it detects the iPhone plugged in. I thought I had found a check mark to activate what Im calling the auto-sync process, but it didnt change things. (And, as Im typing this, I cant find where in iPhoto 11 that check box was located.
Im sure this is a simple thing to correct, but Im stumped. The auto-sync/download still works between the iPhone and MacBook now that Ive downloaded the latest iOS V4.3.
