IP 3G not compatible with 08 Infiniti G35 iPod connector iPhone

Like several others I am having problems connecting my 3G iPhone to my cars iPod adaptor. Getting the not compatible switch to airplane mode message. I read someplace their were two different cables for BMWs iPod adaptor. One worked and the other gave the not compatible message. Is there a different cable that supports the 3G? Handsfree works. I can load the phone book manually. I could not figure out how to download off my contacts.

Works great if you avoid the iPhones messages aboult Airplane mode.
