iOS 4 ibooks PDF Crash iPhone 3G

Hi everyone
Last night i upgraded to iOS 4 and downloaded ibook v 1.1
When browsing in safari, I normally read the a weekly newspaper in PDF format (approx 20-30mb) but when the bar appears in safari to offer to open up the PDF in ibooks and i click this option the phone crashes and the apple symbol comes up for maybe 3-4minutes and then back to the home screen. It seems ibooks cannot handle large PDFs
Anyone having the same?

Im having a similar problem. I synced 3 PDF documents. The largest is 6mb. Ive only been able to successfully open 1 pdf which weighs in at just under 1mb. I re-booted and now iBooks crashes consistently on launch. FAIL Back to the Amazon app for me.

I Too am having these troubles. Ive only been able to get PDFs under 5MB to transfer, and can only transfer PDFs into my iBooks through Mail. Would be nice to be able to do it through iTunes/Sync Esp for the larger PDFs. Seems like an easy fix to throw into the next itunes update.

I have a 12 Mb PDF loading OK in iBooks; input via iTunes.

How do you transfer pdfs to iBooks through iTunes? I found where you can See them under the Books tab..but I dont know where to Add them to the shelf

Drag-and-drop PDF file to iTunes and it is absorbed into Audiobooks section. It can then be synced when you next connect iPhone.
Then load iBooks and a new choice button appears at the top in the middle between BOOKS and PDFs.
