Initiate FaceTime call without cell phone reception iPhone 4

I dont have any AT&T reception in my home, only Wi-Fi, and dont seem to be able to initiate a FaceTime call because of it. Does anyone know a way around this?

Good question. I believe you can. Try calling the 1-800-FACETIME number and give it a try.
I believe I read that they will also make it use email addresses in the future too.

I dont know that facetime uses the cell connection -only wi-fi. I havent tried though. Hopefully someone know much more.
Do you have restrictions on?

Go to contacts select the persons name then click FaceTime

The cellular service is used first to initiate the connection between you and the other person, Wifi kicks in just to provide the necessary data to receive and send video.
So to answer your question, no you will not be able to use Facetime without reception from a cellular connection.
