I-Phone4 keeps telling me my email username or password invalid iPhone 4

Ive checked and checked to make sure Im not misspelling my username or password, but it still will not let me set up my email accounts on my i-Phone. I also have an I-pod touch which works fine and is able to set up my accounts with no problem.
Things Ive tried to do to resolve this problem with my i-phone:
Ive even tried resetting my passwords for my emails and still nothing.
Ive tried it with and without wifi on.
Ive tried turning my i-phone off and then on again.
Ive tried turning on the SMTP and still nothing.
Please tell me someone else has encounter this problem before and has figured it out..

Is this a new phone? Have you been able to access your accounts on this phone before? Have you verified youve set it to the right server?

Yes, it is a new phone (got it today).
No i have never been able to access my accounts on this phone.
Im not very familiar with verifying the correct server, but i can tell you that i have a yahoo email and that the server info says:
Primary Server: Yahoo! SMTP Server (ON)
Other SMTP Servers:
smtp.comcast.net (ON) This is because i can a comcast account as well.
AT&T SMTP Server (ON)
I also have the option to add a server.
Im not sure if that helps, but i hope it does something.
P.S. I have 2 email accounts. One is via Yahoo, the other is Comcast. Neither has let me add them. I get the same message everytime: email username or password is invalid

I have 4 email accounts set up on my iPhone. Under SMTP servers for each account only the primary server is enabled, all of the other servers are set to off. Maybe having all of the SMTP servers set to on is causing a conflict?

What server should i choose? Should i just enable the AT&T server and no other?
