Hotmail Folder Sync iPhone

I recently synced my hotmail accounts via Exchange for my iphone 3gs. The sync worked and all the folders I have for my hotmail account appeared. The problem is that when I open one of my folders all the emails I have saved do not appear. How can I make it so that I can see all of my saved emails within each folder, even if they are old? Thanks.
