Having to send iphone 3g for repair.

I have called at&t numerous times about ever since I upgraded to 3.0 my phone says No Service 90% of the time. They are having me send it in for repair. Has anyone else done this, and does it work?

ATT does not do repairs. You would have to contact Apple regarding this. If you have an Apple store in your area, you can set an appointment up at the Genius Bar - http://apple.com/retail/geniusbar

Apple handles repair and replace for iphone.
As far as I know Apple replaces under warranty, not repair and return.
