Hi folks,
Today I went to look for a phone number for a major chain store searching on Google within Safari. The search returned the website link but then below it asked which location I would like, noting locations close to Moscow.
I went to settings and cleared history/cache/cookies in Safari, cleared history once on the google search page within Safari, and reset network settings. It still showed Moscow results. Finally, after following that process several times, it showed me California or Chicago locations though either is still a thousand or so miles from home. After re-enabling the location finder in Google its working properly again. Searching with Bing gave the CA/IL results too but its working now.
My primary concern here is that somehow my phone thinks it is in Moscow and that it may mean my phones security has been compromised. All other location based applications work properly, its just Safari that seems confused.
Anyone have experience with this issue?
Thank you...
