FaceTime Needs Activation On Vodafone UK iPhone 4

Ok, here is my problem, and BELIVE ME ive tried contacting vodafone, I really have.
I recently purchased my iPhone and I got it all set up and ready then I went to make a FaceTime call with a friend and it wouldnt work.
So I went to :
Settings > Phone > FaceTime
And directly under the FaceTime switch it says Waiting For Activation... And this is when the switch is on!
When i first turned it on a balloon came up saying Your Carrier may charge for SMS messages sent to activate FaceTime So i was like Ok.
3 days on and it still has not been activated!!!!
Here is some extra info.
Version. 4.1 (8B117)
Carrier. vodafone UK 8.0
Model. MC603B
Modem Firmware. 02.10.04
i have been into the Vodafone shop, Apple shop everywhere and they have just said update my carrier settings, which i did and nothing, So anyhelp is Greatly Appreciated.

hi,. just a question,. above the facetime on/off switch., there is a tab saying my number where you enter your mobile number
have you entered your phone number in?,.if its not in facetime imo wont activate,. fyi it should only take 30secs -1min max to activate..
