Facetime freezes during every single call iPhone 4

my wife and I have iPhone 4. even if we are in the same room, standing right near the router, or were in different locations with strong wifi, every single facetime call we makes freezes. Im not exaggerating either; its EVERY one.
anyone else have problems or a possible solution. and by solution I dont mean restore my phone through itunes. already tried that.
Would like to be able to show friends this cool feature without it freezing every time and them laughing.

I have had several FaceTime calls and not a single crash or freeze.
Before anyone wastes their time and yours providing you a possible solution since you have already provided what you dont consider a solution, how about providing anything else you have tried if anything.
When you restored your iPhone with iTunes, did you restore from your iPhones backup or as a new iPhone or not from your iPhones backup? Did you and/or your wife purchase an iPhone 4 upgrading from another iPhone and if so, did you transfer the backup for your previous iPhone to your iPhone 4?

wife upgraded from 3G. she transferred her backup. I did not upgrade from an iPhone. I tried restoring as a new phone, and also restoring from backup.

try not having any apps running in the background. Remove them all and see if FaceTime works. If it does, then there is a apps running in the background thats causing FaceTime to freeze up.
