Emailing video it possible iPhone

Other than using iTunes to install (sync) a video on the iPhone is there any way to email a clip to someone so that they can install it in iPod on the phone and have it play from there?
I tried posting the video to my server using FTP but when I email the FTP link Safari says it cannot open it. The video is in the correct mp4 format and I can install using iTunes so I know it works.
Basically, Im trying to make this easier that using iTunes and a computer.
