hi,
I hope this is the right section to post in, but i have decided because i am fed up of hotmail and the endless problems i get with it i want to move to Gmail, but the problem is i have paid for so many games and apps from the app store and i use it on the mac app store as well so is there any way i can create this new account and transfer the purchases from my one account to the other then close the original account? since i wont need it any more, or maybe change the login for my current account so i can use my gmail email instead? will it even make a difference if i just stop using my hotmail account and still use the email to login for my app store account?
any help would be appreciated ,.. TIA

You can change the email address associated with an Apple ID or iTunes Store account without creating a new Apple ID or iTunes store account. Your Hotmail email address will still appear as the email address for your Apple ID or iTunes store account when logging in or when logged in for purchasing/downloading content from the iTunes store, but you can enter a different primary email address for an existing ID or iTunes store account. Your password for your existing account can stay the same and nothing else will change in regards to your account. Change the email address for your existing account here at Manage Your Account. Select Edit for Primary Email Address.

If you create a new Apple ID, it isnt possible to merge Apple Store accounts. You would need to log in to your existing iTunes account in order to download app updates, etc.

thank you so much !!!!!!!!!!! i am so glad i can just delete the hotmail account now! i was so worried that it would not be possible
