Cannot Delete Email account .Delete button gone. iPhone

I had a user call in with email phone issues (stuck in dfu mode) and I was walking him through setting up his email. He messed something in the config, so I asked him to just delete the email account and start over. Long story short...he said he didnt see the delete button (he has an Ip4)
so I looked at my phone to make sure I was giving him correct path and noticed I dont have the delete button either (I have an IP3gs) ...I have my co worker look at his phone and his is there.
anybody have this issue??? How does the delete button just disappear? (to delete email accounts)
In addition, the caller I was speaking with had the button there yesterday.
