Can iPhone send streaming video to TV

I have an original iPhone and I have an account with MLB TV, so I can watch games live. I tried connecting the iPhone to my TVs component video input, but all I got was the audio. Is it possible to output streaming video to another device?

You cannot stream video from an app to an external monitor.
MacBook , Mini (10.5.8), Airport Express, iPhone 3G x 2 Mac OS X (10.6)
