My iPhone 4 pairs automatically with my car for the phone function but when I tried to use the cars bluetooth audio capability and the iPhones iPod function the car system will ask me to register the iPod, which I cant do because I havent a clue on how to proceed. Any ideas?

Im not sure if it was the update to the new iOS, but here is how I got the audio portion of the Bluetooth working again.
1. Go to Settings > General > Bluetooth
2. Click blue arrow next to your device
3. Choose Forget this Device
4. Press Home button once to return to the home screen
5. Double-click Home button to enter multi-tasking
6. Press and hold one of the icons to enter wiggle mode and close all open applications
7. Click the Home button to exit multi-tasking
8. Press and hold both the Home button and Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears (this is a hard reboot)
9. After rebooting repair your Bluetooth device.

Thanks, Nick. I also found that there is a set-up option in the cars bluetooth audio settings for the iPhones iPod function. This set-up is independent from the iPhone function (and requires disconnecting the iPhone in order to connect the iPod function, which kind of explains the reason for Forget this Device listed on your instructions). Hopefully, hard reboot will not always be required.
