3GS wont sync apps or music after latest firmware iPhone 3G

Two days ago I synced my 3GS up to my computers iTunes and it asked me to update to the latest firmware. I started the update but then iTunes stated that the update couldnt be completed. It then asked me to restore my phone. I selected the most recent restore point, but my iPhone simply wont sync my apps or music to my phone. Any apps that do sync crash immediately. Ive tried doing a soft and hard reset, as well as syncing with another computers iTunes under my account. Still no luck. Any help that anyone could provide would be appreciated. And by the way, my iTunes is the latest version and Im using windows computers if that matters.
